Description: Bring your appetite and enjoy the interactive buffet at Kitchen Workshop Melbourne. Reviewed 8 July Supermarkt Las Vegas partner ate 2 pieces of shell fishas well as other food e. Buffet dinning. Affordable price. Thanks for helping! Traveller type.
There was a good selection of chicken, beef and lamb dishes but not as much seafood. The desert selection was excellent. The ambiance is busy and fast paced.
We went as a group of eighteen and all seemed to enjoy their food. A good place for an easy dinner that is reasonably priced.
Ok,it is cheap and food ok. We call the booking site of Crown, but no bookings accepted for this restaurant at lunch.
So there was a 15 minute wait outside and then finally inside a 15 mtr line for the buffet. Tables are to close together and hardly no room to move.
Lots of noise and so it was not a happy lunchtime. Nothing to do with the staff, but more restaurant management. FOOD POISONING: If you don't want it, don't go to Kitchen Workshop Kitchen Workshop almost ruined my birthday!!
I had my birthday dinner with my friends at this place in July My partner ate 2 pieces of shell fish , as well as other food e.
Not long after we started eating he felt pain in the stomach. At night they have a tepenyaki chef on. You choose from the options, put it in a bowl and give it to the chef to do his thing.
Nice touch. By far the best part of the entire buffet is dessert. There is a stand pretty similar to the one at the Langham buffet that has small portions of dessert that you can sample, so you dont fill up on one big dessert.
But the winner for me was the soft serve machine! Chocolate and vanilla. All in all a nice place if your hungry but dont want to spend over the top at the other restaurants in the Crown complex.
We waited in the queue for 45 minutes tonight and only managed to move 2 metres in all that time, once it got to 8.
Because of the crown privilege seating a lot of people with gold cards or higher were going straight to the head of the queue and getting seated first.
We had dinner here midweek in august and still waited well over 40 minutes to be seated and when we got in the food wasn't very good at all and the deserts were terrible and there was no cream on the pav either.
We had a group work lunch and the food was good value for the price paid. Entry took some time so therefore it appeared that they were not very well organised.
Expect to wait in queues to get your food. Lunch menu includes no Seafood or Teppanyaki as advertised. Kitchen Workshop represents great value as a Melbourne restaurant, it is buffet style with a range of hot and cold dishes to choose from.
The staff are polite and attentive as are the cooks prompt in refreshing dishes, I've visited five times both with friends and colleagues with all whom have attended leaving full and happy.
This location do not accept bookings however is so large that this is rarely a problem, get there during a peak period and you may find yourself waiting your to 45 minutes for a table.
Atmosphere was great, there was a moderate buzz and it was very comfortable. The food had a great range, especially the mains, were delicious and fresh.
We were surprised at the type of food presented. Only 3 items were Australian meals plus salad. The restaurant have catered for Asian clientelle.
My advice is to make a booking for this restaurant, as it is very hard to get a table! The booking process is okay, but the woman was not overly-friendly.
We tried one day for lunch, and was told there would be a three hour wait. Instead I rang to make a booking and was told I couldn't. When I mentioned we were told we would have to wait for three hours in a line, she changed her mind and said we could book for the following night.
Thank you! I tried the Chicken congee first which was quite nice. The highlight of this plate was the Peri Peri chicken drumstick and roast potatoes.
The drumstick had very nice flavours, actual pineapple chunks to add sweetness and the meat was tender and soft. I liked it a lot, while the potatoes were well seasoned and baked.
The rest of it was quite average, or in the case with the pasta, baked fish and beef goulash not that great. I was most disappointed with the wonton because it looked so good, but the filling tasted like cheap imitation seafood stick, really.
The deep fried fish and scallops was nice, the bok choy kept my vegetable cravings happy and the rice was soft and smooth.
The plate overall was so-so. Plate Fresh vegetables, collard greens, potato and raisin salad, pasta mayonnaise salad, cabbage coleslaw, bacon pieces and bean salad.

Nirankar Restaurant. The food is predictable, modest, perfect for people who like a big meal with lots of choice. Not a patch on mesh or the conservatory or the Langham buffet.
It was good enough for lunch and was fair value. Enough good food to make a Nothing classy about this place but it was not too shabby either.
Stop here regularly for lunch or dinner when visiting crown. It s always a good feed with lots of different food to choose from. On this occasion I just wanted a light lunch and had roast beef with vegetables and pasta.
They have a large Staff are friendly and keep food stocked and fresh. Will be back again. Hope this helps More. Flights Holiday Rentals Restaurants Things to do.
